May Picnic!

The weather has been beautiful this May week of Mother’s Day. Some of our seniors decided to take advantage of the weather by eating lunch outdoors on our patio. They turned their lunch into a nice outdoor picnic and enjoyed the weather, our patio, and beautiful backyard and pond. Our dining staff served them on the patio. Other residents (who don’t like sun) chose to eat indoors. Everyone got to enjoy their preferred place to eat on this beautiful day!

Somerset Retirement Home – Senior’s Exercise Classes

Our residents enjoy many senior activities each week, often several per day. One of our regular activities is our seniors fitness classes several times each week.

 

This week our seniors participated in a YouTube fitness class they watched using one of our community room’s projector TV. Our activities director (Denise) gets her exercise participating in the classes with our seniors.

Samantha is our receptionist, executive assistant, and office manager. She’s also our employee of the month.

She’s worked at Somerset for 10 years. She says she loved every minute of it and enjoys helping our residents who she loves like family.

Thank you dedicated staff for your hard work, caring, and perseverance.

Thank you residents’ friends and families for your understanding and cooperation with our COVID prevention measures. As is the new normal, please call before visiting Somerset.

Since the situation can change, calling us before visiting is the best way to keep your senior friends and relatives safe, as well as the rest of our seniors and staff. So far our prevention measures are working. No one at Somerset has COVID.

If we continue our careful policy regarding no visitors (except for special circumstances with mask and temperature check) we hope to continue having healthy residents and staff. By being careful, we’ll all get through this.
